Brooklyn-based Sean Michael Chin has been working as a fight director, stage combat instructor, and stunt performer in New York since 2010. Enthralled from childhood with storytelling and dashing heroics, Sean began formal training at the Orange County High School of the Arts. He went on to complete the London Theatre program at the British American Drama Academy and the honors program in Theatre at Wesleyan University.
Sean has been practicing and performing stage combat since 2007, combining an expertise of storytelling with a passion for the martial arts. With backgrounds in kung fu and aikido in addition to the western disciplines of stage combat, Sean brings fluid versatility and adaptability as a stunt fighter. He has honed his choreographic skills at such venues as The Public, Hartford Stage, and The Juilliard School. Sean is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors.
When he's not training, teaching, or devising choreography, Sean enjoys browsing Netflix, reading superhero comics, and catching up on video games. Sean is also a passionate role-playing enthusiast, particularly D&D. He occasionally contributes on the podcast Mobile Suit Breakdown as their resident choreography and melee weapons specialist.
